PHENOLOGY.— Flowering: April–December; fruiting: April–December.

DISTRIBUTION.— Mexico (Tamps.).

HABITAT.— Oak forest, sometimes on limestone.

ELEVATION.— 320–1400 meters.

NOTES.— Hilsenbeck (1989) provided a description of this species ( Fig. 5K ), which is endemic to Tamaulipas. Phylogenetic relationships among species of Yeatesia (Kiel and McDade 2014) suggest that the genus is not monophyletic as currently delimited. With an EOO of 4,133 km 2 and an AOO of 76 km 2 this species could potentially be assessed as endangered ( EN) if threats and their impacts were to be identified ( IUCN 2019).
