Diagnosis. betanimenus and transvaalensis species groups comprise, along with E. hova , three closely related species in the Mascarene Archipelago. The structure of the alar sclerites is rather constant for each species.
Description. Gauld & Mitchell (1978).
Host records. Achaea faber , Dysgonia pudica , Dysgonia triplocyma , Heliophisma klugii and Tatorinia rufipennis ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ).
Distribution records. Reunion. Widely distributed throughout subsaharan Africa and Madagascar.
