Material examined. New Caledonia. SMIB 5, Stn DW101, 23°21.20'S, 168°04.90'E, 270 m, 14 September 1989: 1 ov. F 3.9 mm (MNHN-IU-2013-8293). SMIB 8, Stn DW155, 24°45.7'S, 168°08.2'E, 257–262 m, 28 January 1993: 1 ov. F 3.1 mm (MNHN-IU-2013-8294).

Remarks. The genetic divergence between G. barbellata and other species is always greater than 14.5% (COI) and 6.2% (16S rRNA) ( Tab. 3 View TABLE 3 ).

Distribution. New Caledonia, Vanuatu, 182– 270 m.
