Type locality. Guangxi: Longzhou, Nonggang (Holotype) ; Guangxi: Longzhou, Nonggang and Sanlian (Paratypes) .

Male. See Wang et al., 2012.

Female. Similar to male. Subgenital plate short, subtriangular, wider than long, apex with small V-shaped divided ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ); valvifer 1 large, longer than the subgenital plate. Ovipositor long, curved upwards, valvulae 3 with apex truncated, slightly concave, with about 13–15 large teeth; valvulae 1 with about 15 blunt teeth on apex of ventral margin, gradually lengthening distad ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ).

Notes. The female specimen of this species in Wang et al. (2012) were misidentified. S. cucullata and S. latifolia sp. nov. are mixed in the same location, and differences can be seen in the costal field of the tegmina (see below for details).
