Notes. The type series included only the male holotype. The holotype is in good condition and only the distal part of the abdomen has been removed. Notes. The reference to a specimen without type status here is exceptional. Philippi’s types, of species of Mycetophilidae mostly from species collected around the city of Santiago, have been lost. The NHM has a male and a female identified by Paul Freeman from sites more to the south (Marga-Marga and Casa Pangue). Our notion of identity of Acnemia fulvicollis comes from Freeman’s redescription based on these specimens.
