Remarks: This taxon was placed in various genera, as follows:with Hypocrypturellus by Carriker (1940: 298), in Austrokelloggia Carriker, 1936 by Hopkins & Clay (1952: 46), who also elevated it to full species, and in Kelloggia by Ward (1957: 338). The specimen listed above was labeled as the ‘allotype’ after the original description of the species; it has no type value.
