NOTES
Lecomte (1930: 941) cited collections of Poilane from “ Laos: vallée de la Tché-pone” and Béjaud from “Cambodge” as the original gathering. Three sheets of Poilane 13333 collected from Tchépone have been located at P and VNM and one sheet of Béjaud 212 from Cambodia has been located at P. The locality on the label of Poilane 13333 (P[ P00721642 ]) indicated that Tchépone was in Annam (central Vietnam). This village is, in fact, in Laos, close to the Laos-Vietnam border. The specimen P00721642 from Poilane 13333, the best preserved, has fruits and a detailed label. It is, therefore, designated here as the lectotype.
