Notulae Systematicae 4 (4): 111 ( Lecomte 1928a).
TYPES. — Tonkin occidental. Phú Diên [= Vietnam. Hanoi, Phu Dien], 6.III.1892, Bon 5215 (lecto-, P, first-step designated by Nguyen [1996: 64]; P [ P00721446 ]!, second-step designated here View Materials ; isolecto-, P [ P00721443 , P0072144 , P00721445 ]!) .
NOTES
Lecomte (1928a: 112) cited two gatherings in the protologue: Bon 5215 from “ Tonkin, Phudién”, and Bon 2758 from “ Tonkin, Lat son”, introducing the latter as a variant of the species with leaves more oval. Subsequently, Lecomte (1930: 960) cited only “ Tonkin: Phù-diên (Bon)”, omitting the other. Nguyen (1996: 64) cited Bon 5215 (P) as holotype but we found four sheets of Bon 5215 at P. The specimen P00721446, the only sheet bearing Lecomte’s determination and type annotation, is designated here as the lectotype.
