Forebody moderately shiningdespitesculpture, abdomenwithveryfineanddensemicrosculptureobscuring moderatelylargebutextremlysuperficialpunctures, surfacewithgreasylustre. Forebody reddishdarkbrown, clypealareaandexplanatepartofpronotumindistinctlylighter, mouthparts, legs, antennaeandabdomenreddishmediumtodarkbrown. Headwithan extremelythinrimonanteriormargin, lattertruncateinmiddle, veryslightlyangledalso atsupraantennalprominences, theseasmoderatelyelevatedobliqueridges, discslightly impressedneareyes. Epistomalsutureformingsubcircularimpression (almostunpunc- turedinside), uppersurfacewithouttactilesetae, eyesmoderatelysmallandveryslightly bulgingfromsidelineofhead; indorsalviewtemples (1.2× lengthofeye) alatiform, later- allyroundedandposteriorlyconstrictedtoformdistinctneck, notseparateddorsallyby occipitalfurrow, onlybyneckbeingmicrosculpturedratherthanpunctured. Antennomere 1 spoon- shapedandlightlymicrosculptured, segment 2 withbroadbaseandnarrowing sp. n. Scale: 0.10 mm

apically, segment 3 stoutclub-shaped, segment 4 transversediscoid, segments 5–11 with basaldishes, transverseexceptlast (segments 6–8 almost 2× broaderthanlong, whilear- ticles 9–10 lessthan 1.5× broaderthanlong). Headandpronotumwithmostlyalveolate sculpture. Pronotumwithlateralportionexplanateandslightlyup-turned, edgealatiform withsparseshortsetae; lateralmarginunevenlyarchedwithanumberofsmall, irregularlydistributeddenticles, posteriorcornersrathershallowlyincised; discmediallywith twoposteriorlynearlyconfluentlongitudinalridges, impressedalongsidethem, laterally stronglyimpressedaroundmiddleofsides. Elytrawithmembranousposteriormarginextendingfromsuturalcornerto 3/4 ofhindmargin. Elytralepipleuralridgepresentwithupturnedlateralalatiformportions, disclongitudinallyimpressedalongside; shoulderswell developed, surfacefoveolate, inbetweenpuncturestorulose. Legsshort, pro-andmesotibiawithseveralspinuloserows, metatibiawithlongitudinalctenidiumofspinulesindistal half. Etymology – Thespeciesisnamedafterthecollectoroftheholotype, therecentlyde-

ceasedDr. GyörgyTopál (1931–2016).

Distribution – ThespeciesiscurrentlyknownfromsouthernChinaand Vietnam.

Remarks – TheHubeirecordissuspicious, raisingdoubtaboutthecor- rectnessofthelabel (especiallyconsideringtheratherbatteredconditionof thesolespecimen).
