Description – Measurements (in mm, n=10): HW = 0.60 (0.53–0.64); TW = 0.57 (0.51– 0.61); PW = 0.86 (0.75–0.92); EW = 0.90 (0.84–0.97); AW = 0.96 (0.88–1.03); HL = 0.47 (0.43– 0.50); EL = 0.12 (0.11–0.13); TL = 0.18 (0.16–0.19); PL = 0.48 (0.41–0.51); SC = 0.54 (0.49–0.57); FB = 1.54 (1.42–1.62); BL = 3.02 (2.77–3.20). Habitus as in Fig. 96 View Figs 96–97 . Forebody weakly shining becauseofsculpture; abdomenwithdensepuncation, large (butshallow), apicallyfiner punctures, fromtergiteVIonwardsabdomenveryfinelycoriaceousmicrosculptured, morelustrousthanforebody. Forebody, legsandabdomenreddishdarkbrown, except explanatepartofpronotumandclypealarea (bothfortransparency), these, mouthparts andantennaereddishmediumbrown. Headrathertransverse (clypealarealessprojecting forward), withathinrimonanteriormargin, truncateinmiddle, veryslightlyangledalso atsupraantennalprominences, theseasmoderatelyelevatedobliqueridges, discslightly impressedneareyes. Epistomalsutureformingsubcircularimpression (lesspunctured inside), uppersurfacewithouttactilesetae, eyesmoderatelysmall, veryslightlybulging fromsidelineofhead; indorsalviewtemples (1.5× lengthofeye) alatiform, laterallyimperfectlyrounded (withoutbeingangled) andposteriorlyconstrictedtoformdistinctneck, notseparateddorsallybyoccipitalfurrow, onlybyneckbeingmicrosculpturedratherthan punctured. Antennomere 1 club-shaped, finelysculptured, segment 2 elongateoval, seg- ment 3 club-shaped, segment 4 smallandveryslightlytransverse, segments 5–11 with basaldishes, articles 6–10 transverse (about 1.3× broaderthanlong), segments 9–10 bulk- ierthanpreceding. Headandpronotumwithmostlylacunosesculpture. Pronotumwith lateralportionexplanateandslightlyup-turned, edgealatiformwithsparseshortsetae; lateralmarginunevenlyarchedwithanumberofsmall, irregularlydistributeddenticles, posteriormarginbroadlyincisedbeforecorners, discmediallywithtwoparallellongitudinalridges, impressedalongsidethem, laterallyimpressedaroundmiddleofsides. Elytra withmembranousposteriormarginextendingfromsuturalcornerto 3/4 ofhindmargin. Elytralepipleuralridgepresentwithup-turnedlateralalatiformportions, disclongitudinallyimpressedalongside; shoulderswelldeveloped, surfacefoveolate, inbetweenpunc- turestorulose. Legsshort, pro-andmesotibiawithseveralspinuloserows, metatibiawith longitudinalctenidiumofspinulesindistalhalf. Abdomenwithsidesratherarcuate, sec- ondsegmentwithparatergitesstronglybroadeningposteriorly (abdomenappearingcon- strictedatbase), thoseofsegmentsIII–VIIthin, mesalparatergitesbroad, posterioredgeof tergiteVIIwiththinpalisadefringe, medianpartofsterniteVIIasinFig. 223 View Figs 223–229 , sterniteVIII ( Fig. 224 View Figs 223–229 ), tergitesIX ( Fig. 225 View Figs 223–229 ), X ( Fig. 226 View Figs 223–229 ) andaedeagusasinFigs 227–229 View Figs 223–229 , spermatheca asinFig. 273 View Figs 265–278 .
Etymology – Thespecificepithetisfromthetypelocality, Rurukan (nouninapposition).
Distribution – SofaritisonlyknownfromnorthernSulawesi ( Indonesia). Remarks – Thisspeciesiscloselyrelatedto A. tanator (alsofromSulawesi, butfromthesouthernpart).
