Description. “Size medium. Body length 10.9 mm. The terminus of abdomen extending beyond forewing. Head length 1.4mm, approximately as long as half width between eyes. Coronal suture complete and distinct. Ocelli placed close to eye as long as half width between each other. Pronotum length 1.9mm, as long as half width. Head concave in front of eyes and then oblique to apex. Scutellum length slightly longer than head, with a central elevated anteriorly directed crest-like process. Anterior margin and posterior margin of forewing parallel. Hind tibiae long and slender, with 6 stout and enlarged setae in rows perpendicular to axis of leg anterodorsally (AD). Male 8th sternite longer than 7th sternite, with posterior margin concave. Subgenital plates salix leaf-like, rather long and narrow, with numerous short setae and numerous apically rusty brown spots. Style rather broad, curved ventrally at apex. Aedeagus long and slender, shaft with a pair of lamellate processes apically. Coloration isabelline; eyes and ocelli grayish brown; posterior area of pronotum gray; basal forewings fuscous; abdomen yellowish ventrally, rusty brown dorsally; legs yellowish-brown, terminal femur and basal tibiae fuscous.” ( Cai & He, 1997)

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Female. Unknown.

Diagnosis. This species resembles E. viraktamathi Huang & Zhang sp. nov. but differs in having an isabelline colored body, a tubular aedeagal shaft, a robust style and pygofer side in lateral aspect tapering posteriorly without posterior process.
