Type material: Lectotype and paralectotypes deposited at SMF, catalogue number SMF2799 About SMF length ( Gerecke 2009) .
Type locality: Germany: between Falkau and Saig ( Schwoerbel 1957) .
Geographical distribution: South central Europe( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).
Distribution in Portugal: North: International Minho River ( Cantallo et al. 2021), in front of “Morraceira das Varandas” Island.
Material examined: 0/1/0; Morraceira das Varandas, Portugal; 41º54′36.7″N, 8º49′4.49″W; 24 September 2020; coll. by Aquamuseu Team; catalogue number NatMIP-CATr-0006 GoogleMaps .
Ecological notes: Interstitial on springs and streams ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010). In Minho River, one individual was collected in the main sector, on sediment type ‘moderately sorted medium sand’ ( Cantallo et al. 2021), in which the logarithmic main grain size value was 1.848.
Remarks: First record mentioned for Portugal ( Cantallo et al. 2021).
