Monatractides (Monatractides) lusitanicus (Lundblad, 1941)

Synonyms: Atractides lusitanicus Lundblad, 1941 (original designation); Torrenticola (Monatractides) lusitanica Lundblad, 1956

Type material: Holotype ( Lundblad 1941a), possibly not deposited in any scientific collection.

Type locality: Portugal: Convent of the Capuchos, Sintra municipality ( Lundblad 1941a) .

Geographical distribution: Iberian Peninsula ( Valdecasas 1988), Mediterranean and Iran ( Erman et al. 2010).

Distribution in Portugal: South: Estremadura ( Valdecasas 1988), in Convent of the Capuchos, Sintra municipality ( Lundblad 1941a).

Ecological notes: Freshwater, mainly small streams, with dead leaves, twigs and little moss in a deeply cut ravine in the coniferous forest ( Lundblad 1956).

Synonyms: Atractides stenostomus Viets, 1930 (original designation); Torrenticola (Monatractides) stadleri var. stenostoma ( Viets, 1930) ; Torrenticola (Monatractides) stenostoma ( Viets, 1930)

Type material: Holotype ( Viets 1930), with catalogue number SMF 47795 at SMF (Pers. comm., R. Gerecke).

Type locality: Spain: Madrid ( Valdecasas 1988), in Manzanares River, Charca de Marmoto ( Viets 1930).

Geographical distribution: France and Iberian Peninsula ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).

Distribution in Portugal: Centre: Beira Alta, in Santa Comba Dão ( Lundblad 1956).

Ecological notes: Freshwater, in tributaries ( Lundblad 1956) with slow-moderate and warm streams, on a sandystone substrate ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010), as well as on sandy bottom and present in aquatic plants( Viets 1930).
