Distribution. Great Britain ( Scotland).
Remarks. A distinct cuticular structure as reported by Baker (1999) (op. cit. “linear granular (engorged, though granules usually break down in permanently mounted specimens)) has not been observed before in any other member of Valgothrombium . During the present studies the granular cuticular structures were discovered in the type specimens of V. a v a e, V. mallorcensis , V. natani and V. paroense and are present also in V. andreae comb. nov.
