Habitat: Intertidal mud flats, on stones ( Clark 1968).

Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman: Bahrain (ibid.).

Indian Ocean: Indian Ocean ( Price & Rowe 1996), South Africa ( Olbers et al. 2015, 2019).

Remarks: Ophiodyscrita acosmeta has only been reported once from the study area, as Ophiostegastus compsus (synonymized by Price & Rowe (1996)).
