Habitat: Clay and sandy-clay, 6–17 m ( Mortensen 1940; Price 1981).

Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman: Bushehr (2), Chiru (6), Hormuz Island (12), Jask (15), Tarut Bay (25), Manifa (29), Strait of Hormuz (33) (ibid.).

Indian Ocean: Records from other areas could not be confirmed.
