Range: — Costa Rica; Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC, TA).

Ecology: —Very common; epiphytic and saxicolous, with pendant leaves, in humid forests, on rock faces, and on steep, grassy slopes; (1200–) 2100–3800 m.
