Range: —Antilles; Guatemala to Bolivia (LP), Venezuela, Guyana, and Brazil.

Ecology: —Rare; epiphytic and terrestrial, in humid forests; 700–1500 m. Collected only twice in Bolivia despite being very distinctive and conspicuous; probably threatened in the country.

Notes: —If the petiolar and costal scales are examined with magnification, it can be seen that they are slightly inrolled at their bases.
