Porphyrochroa distincta View in CoL sp. nov.
(Figs. 6a–i; 18f; 20)
Diagnosis: P. d i s t i n c t a sp. nov. Is closely related to P. aliena sp. nov. due to the presence of modified sternite 5, with projections and setae. It differs from the latter due to the presence of setae on the posterior region of the hypandrium.
Description. Male: body length 2.8 mm; wing length 2.8 mm.
Frons and face shiny brown. Frons slightly narrower than width of anterior ocellus, subparallel sided, with three proclinate setae. Face longer than frons, length about twice width of frons. Proboscis light-yellow, length equal to height of head. Palpus yellow, with one small and almost apical seta. Ocellar tubercule with vitreous light-brown ocellus; two proclinate and long ocellar setae; two proclinate and short postocellar setae. Antenna with scape, pedicel and basal fifth of flagellum yellow, remaining segments brown; scape and pedicel medially verticillate; flagellum about four times longer than scape and pedicel combined. Postcranium shiny brown, with distinct brown setae and gray pruinescence; one pair of parallel vertical setae; postocellar setae distinct, arranged in complete single series with dorsal setae stronger. Gena and postgena with brown setae and sparse gray pruinescence. Thorax yellow with conspicuous postsutural gray pruinescence and brown stripes longitudinally in dorsal region, contrasting with shiny brown abdomen and head. Thoracic setae: 3 ktg; 4 sctl; 3 aprn; 1 prepm; 1 pprn; acr absent or broken; 4 dc; 1 spal presut; 1 spal psut; 2 ntpl; 1 pal. Legs yellow with brown tarsi. Hindleg with two row of spines, one anteroventral and one posteroventral on distal half of femur, allowing tibia to fit perfectly between these two rows. Base of hind tibia with three long posteroventral spines. All legs with short distinct setae. Wing hyaline with conspicuous pterostigma; anal lobe narrow; R2+3 little curved ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 f). Halter yellow. Abdomen shiny brown, with metallic blue luster in diverse light incidence angles. Sternites shiny brown. Tergite 7 with pair of posteroventral protuberances and two anterior lateral projections (Fig. 6a); sternite 5 with tentacle-like projections in dorsal view (Fig. 6b); in lateral view with posteroventral projection (Fig. 6c); sternite 6 covered by projection of sternite 5 in dorsal view (Fig. 6b); sternite 7 short in dorsal view (Fig. 6b) and with two prominences in lateral view (Fig. 6c); sternite 8 long and wide with lateral posterior projection. Terminalia: hypandrium with two long posteroventral setae and superiorly narrower (Figs. 6d; g). Epandrium with digitiform projection superiorly and with posterior setae (Fig. 6e). Cercus elongate and long in lateral view (Fig. 6d); in dorsal view with internal ventral projection (Fig. 6h); ejaculatory apodeme with three projections (Fig. 6f); subepandrial sclerite elongate with fold at arm’s apex (Fig. 6i).
FIGURE 6. Porphyrochroa distincta sp. nov., holotype male: a, Tergites 5–8, dorsal view; b, Sternites 5–8, dorsal view; c, Terminalia, lateral view; d, Hypandrium, phallus, cercus and subepandrial sclerite, lateral view; e, Epandrium, lateral view; f, Ejaculatory apodeme, anterior view; g, Hypandrium, posterior view; h, Cercus, dorsal view; i, Subepandrial sclerite, ventral view. Abbreviation: a cerc, anterior cercus; cerc, cercus; ej apod, ejaculatory apodeme; goncx apod, gonocoxal apodeme; hypd, hypandrium; p cerc, posterior cercus; ph, phallus; sbepand scl, subepandrial sclerite; ST, sternite; T, tergite; vpc, ventral projection of cercus.

Holotype condition: prepm setae, acr and spal psut broken; left wing mounted on microslide in Canada balsam; abdomen within microvial containing glycerin. Microslide and microvial pinned attached to the specimen.
Variation: five specimens with long strong anteroventral setae on distal part of mid tibia.
Etymology: from Latin distinctus = distinct, diverse. It makes allusion to the distinct modification in the sternite 5.
