Material examined. 1 male, Bawangling, Changjiang , Hainan, 26 May, 2014, collected by Jiao Jiao ; 1 female, Diaoluoshan, Lingshui , Hainan, 7 May, 2014, collected by Lin Xie .

Discussion. Based on one male sex, Li et al. (2016) reported the species as Larnaca (Larnaca) hainanica , we thought that the specimens identified as Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) pulcherrima Gorochov, 2008 by Bian & Shi (2015) should be Zalarnaca (Larnaca) hainanica com. nov., which is similar to Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) pulcherrima Gorochov, 2008 , but it differs from the latter in: posterior margin of occiput without black spots on both sides, dorsal margins of lateral lobes of pronotum with 1 pair of longitudinal and narrow stripes.

Distribution. China (Hainan).
