Larnaca (Larnaca) sinica Li, Liu & Li, 2016 . Zootaxa, 4161 (2): 283.

Description. Male. Fastigium verticis about 2.7 times as broad as scape ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–B). Eye oval; ocelli inconspicuous. Pronotum subsellate, anterior margin slightly projecting, posterior margin truncate; lateral lobes longer than high, trapezoidal ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C–F). Fore coxae with a small and sharp spine. Fore and middle femora unarmed on ventral surface; fore and middle tibiae with 5 pairs of spines on ventral surface (including one pair of apical spines). Hind femora with 6–8 internal spines and 11–12 external spines on ventral surface, external ones dramatically longer than internal ones; hind tibiae with 6 pairs of spinules on dorsal surface, 1 pair of dorsal apical spines, 2 pairs of ventral apical spines.

Tegmina surpassing apices of hind femora, slightly shorter than hind wings. Ninth abdominal tergite with 1 shallow concavity in the middle, lateral margins with 1 pair of robust processes, their length much shorter than cerci, curved inward and upward, apices acute ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A–B). Centre of posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with 1 pair of tuberculate processes ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 B). Subgenital plate rectangular, broader than long, centre of posterior margin with a cambered concavity, the lateral lobes nearly triangular, apices obtusely rounded ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 C). Styli robust located on both sides of posterior margin of subgenital plate.

Female. Appearance is similar to male ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 B, D, F). Posterior margin of seventh abdominal sternite with a small process in the middle ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D). Basal area of subgenital plate broad with a big triangular concavity in the middle ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D). Ovipositor short, strongly upcurved, with dorsal and ventral margins smooth ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 E).

Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Occiput with 4–8 blackish brown spots, face with 4–5 pairs of black brown spots ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–D). Internal margins of scape and pedicel, and basal flagellar segments black brown, the other segments of flagellum blackish. Pronotic disc with 4 pairs of blackish brown spots of varying sizes ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C– D). Wings brown, apices yellowish. All of femora, basal area and apical area of fore and middle tibiae, and all spines on hind femora black. Apices of processes on male ninth abdominal tergite black; processes of tenth abdominal tergite blackish brown ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A–B).

Material examined. 1 male, Yangmeiao, Rongshui , Guangxi, 4 August, 2015, collected by Zhilin Chen ; 1 male, Yangmeiao, Rongshui , Guangxi, 5 August, 2015, collected by Zhilin Chen ; 1 male, Yangmeiao, Rongshui , Guangxi, 6 August, 2015, collected by Zhilin Chen ; 1 female, Yangmeiao, Rongshui , Guangxi, 7 August, 2015, collected by Baojie Du .

Measurements (mm). BL: ♂ 15.5–18.5, ♀ 16.0; PL: ♂ 4.5–6.0, ♀ 4.5; HF: ♂ 8.0–9.0, ♀ 6.5; TL: ♂ 12.0– 14.5, ♀ 13.5; OL: 8.0.

Discussion. The species is similar to Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) pulcherrima Gorochov, 2008 , but differs from the latter in: body color darker; entire ventral margin of lateral lobe of pronotum black (only half of ventral margin black in Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) pulcherrima Gorochov, 2008 ); the processes of male ninth abdominal tergite more robust; posterior margin of subgenital plate with a broader concavity in the middle, the lateral lobes triangular with apices rounded; apical area of female seventh abdominal sternite with a small process, centre of posterior margin of the process with a deep notch.
