Diagnosis. Specimens of both sexes of Pelicinus marmoratus can be easily separated from all other Brazilian synanthropic species by the weakly sclerotized scuta on the abdomen ( Fig. 42 View Figs 41-48 ), light embolus with distal process in the male palp ( Figs 43, 44 View Figs 41-48 ) and postepigastric scutum covering about 3/4 of abdominal length ( Fig. 45 View Figs 41-48 ).
Description. Male and female, see PLATNICK et al. (2012c:18, figs 1-60, 121-144).
Distribution. Considered Pantropical by PLATNICK et al. (2012c) who recorded this species in the African continent, in several Caribbean and Pacific islands and in the city of Ananindeua, state of Pará, Brazil ( Fig. 60 View Figs 60, 61 ), where the specimens were collected manually in a house bathroom, along with synanthropic ants. This remains the single record of this species in Brazil.
