Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Gongshan County, Gongshan to Qiqi , 27.77072°N, 98.65333°E, alt. 1564m, 25 September 2002, Heng-mei Yan leg. (Yan020925). GoogleMaps

Etymology. This epithet derives from the Latin adjective “ ancorarius ”, meaning “anchor” and referring to the anchor-shaped pseudoscape in epigyne.

Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from all other congeners by having the anchor-shaped scape in epigyne ( Fig. 202A–C View FIGURE 202 ).

Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 203A, B View FIGURE 203 ): Total length: 1.95, Carapace 0.73 long, 0.61 wide; cephalic region slightly elevated, brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.13 high. Sternum wider than long, brown, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with four promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Eye region narrow, AER recurved, PER straight and slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.04, ALE 0.07, PME 0.07, PLE 0.07, AME–AME 0.03, PME–PME 0.04, AME–ALE, 0.05, PME–PLE 0.04, AME–PME 0.06, ALE–ALE 0.29, PLE–PLE 0.32 ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 3.09 (0.87, 1.02, 0.72, 0.48), II 2.74 (0.82, 0.85, 0.66, 0.41), III 2.22 (0.66, 0.64, 0.54, 0.38), IV 2.91 (0.83, 0.89, 0.69, 0.50). Leg formula I-IV-II-III. Tm I 0.38 and Tm IV 0.32. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-2-2. Abdomen 1.22 long, 0.94 wide, oval, dorsally with distinct greenish-grey patterns from the anterior margin to the base of spinnerets; ventral side greenish-grey.

Epigyne ( Fig. 202A–C View FIGURE 202 ): Protruding, scape anchorshaped, with small stretcher; entrance groove inside lateral pockets; posterior median plate broad, rectangular; spermathecae long, directed anteriolaterally, away from each other.

Male. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 212 View FIGURE 212 ).
