Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Tengchong County, Bawan Township, Sanchahe , Luoshuidong area , 24.94755°N, 98.75564°E, alt. 2300m, night collecting in broadleaf forest, 3 June 2005, Heng-mei Yan, Ke-ji Guo and Hong-bin Liang leg. ( GKJ039 ). GoogleMaps

Etymology. This epithet derives from the type locality.

Diagnosis. This new species resembles Auricula triangulara sp. nov. in having the globular spermathecae present on lateral side of dorsal plate ( Fig. 22A–C View FIGURE 22 ; Fig. 27A–C View FIGURE 27 ), but can be distinguished by posterior margin of the dorsal plate wave-shaped, protruding distinctly beyond the epigastric groove in A. sanchaheensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 22A View FIGURE 22 ), whereas straight, and not distinctly beyond the epigastric groove in A. triangulara sp. nov. ( Fig. 27A View FIGURE 27 ). Copulatory duct of the new species two times longer than that of A. triangulara sp. nov. ( Fig. 22C View FIGURE 22 ; Fig. 27C View FIGURE 27 ).

Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 23A, B View FIGURE 23 ): Total length: 2.68. Carapace 1.29 long, 0.99 wide, brown, mid dorsally slightly elevated; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.27 high. Sternum longer than wide, brown, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than longer. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with four promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Eye region narrow, AER straight, PER procurved slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.06, ALE 0.10, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.03, PME–PME 0.08, AME–ALE, 0.03, PME–PLE 0.07, AME–PME 0.07, ALE–ALE 0.36, PLE– PLE 0.42, ALE–PLE contiguous. Legs lost. Abdomen 1.39 long, 0.89 wide, oval, greenish-grey, dorsally with two longitudinal black bands; ventral side dusky gray.

Epigyne ( Fig. 22A–C View FIGURE 22 ): wider than long, sclerotized; ventral plate connected with dorsal plate by septum to form shallow atrium with copulatory openings; dorsal plate sclerotized, with round wave-like margin protruding distinctly beyond the epigastric groove, mid ventrally with a shallow depression; copulatory openings narrow, present at the base of septum posteriorly. Vulva with long copulatory ducts, forming pairs of round broad loops anteriorly, extending above the spermathecae; spermathecae globular, on lateral side of dorsal plate, pointing away from each other.

Male. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 29 View FIGURE 29 ).

Remarks. Auricula sanchaheensis sp. nov. has been described with the only holotype female that was dried out. But the epigyne is undamaged, so it is used to describe this species.
