IRREgULAR SPIcULES ARE cOMMON ANd INTRASPEcIfIc VARIATION IN SPIcULE SHAPE MAy bE HIgH. ONE SPEcIES HAS PAPILLAE ANd A MIcROcAVITy-fILLINg HAbIT, ANd IN ANOTHER SPEcIES THE SkELETON IS AbSENT (LAgE et al. 2018).
