Bibio venosus ( Meigen, 1804) View in CoL (®gure 83)
The larva was described by Morris (1921). I have not seen any material of this species.
According to Morris (1921) mouthparts and general habitus of the larva rather similar to Bibio marci . Cuticular scales unarmed, somewhat angular and closely packed (®gure 83).
Distribution. Europe north to Southern Sweden ( Karle, 1994). Full-grown larvae should be found in March to April.
