Odocnemis dasypa species-group
Description. Body elongate, not large (length up to 12 mm), shining, often black. Temples with groove in anterior part. Hypomera with distinct wrinkles and without punctation. Elytra usually subparallel, without tubercles. Epipleura and their inner narrow carina not reaching sutural angle of elytra, 8th elytral interval weakly convex and connected with margin of elytra. Dorsal elytral carina not reaching apex of elytra. Wings large, subequal to elytral length. Abdominal ventrites. Male abdominal ventrites 1 and 2 without hair brush. Male anal ventrite without depression, female anal ventrite with transverse bracket-shaped weak depression. Legs. Male pro- and mesotibiae of male often bent, hatchet-shaped or simple. Protibiae with several lines of teeth on inner side, mesotibiae with one large tooth or some small granules on inner side; metatibiae straight, without teeth. Apical half of femora smooth and shining on inner side. Each trochanter, sometimes and basal part of femora on inner side with hair brush. Male genitalia. Apical piece not strongly thickened, without dorsal longitudinal depression, straight (lateral view). Basal piece 2.5 × as long as apical piece. Median lobe baculi narrow, not merged, acute on apex. Gastral spicula with thickened, weakly bent branches and small elongated lobes. Male inner sternite VIII with obtuse apices, densely punctured and pubescent on inner side. Female genital tubes. Spermatheca without processes and basal duct, accessory gland about 4 × as long as spermatheca.
Distribution. Northern Turkey, Greece, Albania.
Composition. At least O. dasypa , O. tuberculata (Küster, 1851) , O. shusteri ( Reitter, 1922) .
