Host/Habitat. Distribution. Changzhi, Huguan, Wenxi, Yangcheng, Yongji ( Liu et al. 2005); Ruicheng, Yuanqu, Yuncheng (Yang et al. 1997); Xiaxian (Wang et al. 1985; Yang et al. 1997; Liu et al. 2005); Shanxi ( Teng 1978; Teng & Jiang 1991; Zhang et al. 1991; Liu et al. 1996).
Remarks. This species has long been included in the genus Boophilus ( Teng 1978; Tian 1980; Teng & Jiang 1991; Liu et al. 1996; Yang et al. 1997; Liu et al. 2005). Zhang et al. (1991) recorded it as Boophilus caudatus (Neumann, 1897) which is now a junior synonym of Rhipicephalus microplus ( Guglielmone et al. 2010) .
