Adult: unknown.
Etymology: The specific epithet is in honor of the late Georg Ulmer.
Diagnosis: Trichogenia ulmeri can be differentiated from congeners by the following combination of characteristics: i) anterior surface of femora with both long and short robust setae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 11 – 13. 11 – 12, T ); ii) presence of comb setae on apical margin of maxillae; iii)long supracoxal spines on the meso- and metathorax; iii) abdominal terga with sparse branched, robust setae, most occurring near posterior margin.
Material Examined: HOLOTYPE: 1larva, Indonesia, Sumatra, Ranau, Urwaldbach, R25c, 29-I-1929, Thienemann [ ZMUH]. PARATYPES: INDONESIA: 1 larva, same data as holotype [ ZMUH]; 2 larvae, Indonesia, E. Kalimantan, Long Tua, Tua cr, 3°10'N 115°47'E, 440m, 7-IV-1994, B Hubley, IIS 940541 [ ROM].
