Cypridoidea gen. et sp. indet. 1
Figure 29.
Material examined: One valve from JN24, one valve ( ECNU 20170412/HN1–22) stored.
Dimension: RV, n = 1, length 0.695 mm, height 0.402 mm.
Description: Surface of carapace reticulated in anterior, posterior and ventral areas. Greatest height anterior of mid-length. Anterior margin more rounded than posterior. Two large tubercles present on central-ventral part of carapace. Anterior tubercle smaller than posterior one ( Fig. 29A). Selvage present along antero-ventral and posteroventral margins ( Fig. 29B).
Distribution: This species was found in Jianfengling National Forest Park on Hainan Island.
Remarks: Based on the muscle scars on RV ( Fig. 29C), this species belongs to the Cypridoidea. Only one RV was collected in April, 2017, and the absence of soft parts hinders classification below the superfamily level. The specimen is probably a juvenile as indicated by the narrow calcified inner lamella.
