Etymology. The specific name is an adjective from the Latin word mancus (defective), and refers to the posterior sclerotized edge of epyginum, which is usually broken and defective.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to H. submanca sp. nov., but can be separated by the wider atrium (width of spermatheca / atrium = 1.6 (4.0 in H. submanca sp. nov.)) and that the spermathecae abut (separated in H. submanca sp. nov.).

Description. Female (holotype): Total length 6.50. Prosoma 3.00 long, 2.00 wide; opisthosoma 3.50 long, 2.20 wide. Carapace brown with blackish brown longitudinal stripes. Ocular area with long, grayish, white scales. Eye measurements: AME 0.10; ALE 0.23; PME 0.18; PLE 0.19; AME-AME 0.09; AME-ALE 0.10; PME-PME 0.31; PME-PLE 0.44. Eye row width measurement: I 0.33, II 0.73 wide, III 1.35, IV 0.64 wide. Clypeus height 0.52. Sternum yellow, marginally brown; chelicera, labium and endites dark brown, chelicera with 2 pro- (1 large, 1 small) and 1 median-sized retromarginal teeth. Legs dark brown. Leg measurements: I 11.15 (3.60, 4.00, 2.40, 1.15); II 9.80 (3.00, 3.60, 2.20, 1.00); III 7.70 (2.45, 2.70, 1.80, 0.75); IV 7.75 (2.50, 2.60, 1.90, 0.75), leg formula: 1243. Opisthosoma dorsally grayish brown; laterally with large blackish brown stripes; ventrally with gray marking mesally, yellow laterally.

Epigynum ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 B–E, 7A–B). Epigynal posterior sclerotized edge broken, copulatory openings at the anterior part; copulatory ducts thick, spermathecae large, globular.

Male: Unknown.

Variation. Total length: Ƥ 6.30–7.70 (n=7). The posterior sclerotized edge of the epigynum was split, broken or even lost in some examined specimens. This damage may have been broken by the male palp during copulation.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).
