COMMENTS: Mathews cited his catalog number of the holotype in the original description and gave the range as ‘‘North Queensland.’’ The type bears a Mathews Collection label, on which the number ‘‘789’’ refers to the number of this species in Mathews (1908), and Mathews and Rothschild type labels. AMNH 695544 (Mathews no. 9538), female, collected at Herberton on 5 November 1910 by the Dodds and cataloged by Mathews as P. germana is a paratype. Specimens collected by T.H. Bowyer-Bower at Cairns in 1885, were not cataloged by Mathews until 1913, after the publication of subgermana.
