Eulichas trapezicollis ( Fairmaire, 1891)
Lichas trapezicollis Fairmaire, 1891 : CXXIX (original description, Darchiling).
Eulichas trapezicollis ( Fairmaire, 1891) : Pic 1914: 11 (catalogue); Jäch 1995: 363 (catalogue).
Type locality. “Darchiling” [Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India].
Remarks. Eulichas trapezicollis is almost certainly a senior synonym of E. sikkimensis or E. uniformis , which both occur in Darjeeling. Both species are very similar in habitus, and could be reliably distinguished only based on shape of last antennomere or male genitalia. Unfortunately the original description did not mention any of these diagnostic characters, and the type material of E. trapezicollis seems to be lost. Therefore I am not able to establish the formal synonymy. Type specimens should be deposited in MNHN, but I failed to find them there during my visits. However, I still believe, that more searching could reveal them, and therefore do not designate a neotype, but leave the status of E. trapezicollis unresolved.
