Eucnemis capucinus Ahrens, 1812
Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Mertlik et al. 2009; Bunalski et al. 2023, both as E. capucina Ahrens, 1812 ).
General distribution. Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina,? Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy,? Latvia, Liechtenstein,? Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia (Central European Territory), Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland ( Muona 2007), Great Britain ( Sharp 1886), Russia (South European Territory) ( Mamaev 1976), Iran ( Mertlik et al. 2009), Greece ( Németh et al. 2017), Ukraine ( Muona 2019), Moldova ( Kovalev & Nikitsky 2021).
Remark. Finland, North European Territory of Russia and West Siberia listed for E. capucinus by Muona (2007) are excluded from the distributional range of this species, since all the previous citations of E. capucinus from these territories refer to E. zaitzevi Mamaev, 1976 (see Muona, 2019; Kovalev & Nikitsky, 2021). The citations of E. capucinus from Belarus, Latvia, and Lithuania needs confirmation as all of them may refer to E. zaitzevi , so these countries are listed with a question mark.
