Description from Foged (1975):— Valves broad-elliptical ( Fig. 92 View FIGURES 88–92 ). Apical axis: 14–15 μm; transapical axis: 12–14 μm. Raphe-sternum valve with very narrow axial area eccentrically situated and in the middle of the valve dilated in the small rounded central area. Raphe straight, very delicate, filiform with closely spaced pores. Terminal nodule situated near the apices. Transapical striae 20–22 in 10 μm. The structure of the SV is similar to that of the RV.
