Lophostoma brasiliense Peters 1867

Distribution. From Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Trinidad, and Brazil. In Brazil has been registered in the states of Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Pernambuco, Roraima, and Tocantins ( Reis et al. 2007).

Habitat. Inhabits forest areas, roosting in hollow trees and arboreal termitaries ( Reis et al. 2007). We collected one specimen near net in a sandy portion of the edge of the São Domingos River (12° 54’ 50.8” S, 47° 34’ 0.7” W), in Paranã, TO GoogleMaps .

Voucher specimen. One adult female – CHUNB 1217.
