Sturnira lilium View in CoL (Geoffroy St.-Hilaire 1810)

Distribution. Mexico to Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, and, perhaps, Jamaica. Occurs in almost all Brazil, but the states of Maranhão, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, and Tocantins ( Rodrigues et al. 2002; Peracchi et al. 2006).

Habitat. Inhabits a variety of habitats such as rainforests, dry forests, and natural and modified open areas, also near to streams. Roost in caves, hollow trees, and buildings ( Gannon et al. 1989). We collected a specimen beside a stream (13° 46’ 35.34” S, 46° 37’ 32.48” W) in São Domingos, GO.

Voucher specimen. One female – CHUNB 1250.
