Trematuridae View in CoL is a large family with about 400 species belonging to six genera. Only five species were collected from Passalidae View in CoL : Trichouropoda alcahupasi Hiramatsu and Hirschmann, 1988 , T. aschantiana WiŚniewski and Hirschmann 1988 , T. guanabarae Hirschmann and WiŚniewski, 1987 , T. tchadensis WiŚniewski and Hirschmann, 1993 , all from unidentified Passalidae View in CoL , and T. ovalis (C.L. Koch, 1839) from Odontotaenius zodiacus View in CoL and Nenteria sp. from O. striatopunctatus View in CoL ( Hirschmann and WiŚniewski 1987, 1988; WiŚniewski and Hirschmann 1993; Barrios-Torres and Villegas-Guzmám 2015) ( Tables 2– 9 View Table 2 View Table 3 ). Trematuridae View in CoL of the genus Trichouropoda Berlese, 1916 have been found on various insects, especially Brenthidae , Cerambycidae View in CoL and Curculionidae View in CoL , but Passalidae View in CoL are rare hosts to them.
