The family Chaetodactylidae contains five genera and more than 112 species. Only one species: Sennertia argentina Vitzthum, 1941 has been found on unidentified Passalidae ( Haitlinger 1999) ( Tables 2 View Table 2 , 4 and 7 View Table 7 ). Mites from this family may occur in Passalidae only exceptionally.
