Acaridae View in CoL is a large family with 113 genera and many species. So far five species have been found on Passalidae View in CoL : Passaloglyphus rosickyi , Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schrank, 1781) , nea r Forcellinia sp. , Histiogaster sp. and Sancassania sp. (two specimens – perhaps belonging to two different species) and they were collected from Passalus maillei Percheron, 1841 View in CoL , Odontotaenius striatopunctatus (Percheron, 1836) View in CoL , O. zodiacus (Turqui, 1857) View in CoL , Passalus sp. and Popilius sp. ( Mahunka and Samšiňák 1972; Delfinado and Baker 1975; Villegas-Guzmán et al. 2008; Barrios-Torres and Villegas-Guzman 2015) ( Tables 2 View Table 2 , 4 and 7 View Table 7 ). The relationships of mites from this family with Passalidae View in CoL are poorly known.
