TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Sumatra .

DISTRIBUTION: N. India and Nepal to Vietnam, Thailand, Malaya, Sumatra, and Borneo. Probably S. China.

COMMENT: Pardofelis is considered a valid genus by CPG. Type locality discussed by Robinson and Kloss, 1919, J. Fed. Malay St. Mus., 7: 261.

PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix I and U.S. ESA - Endangered.
