TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., E. Kamchatka .
DISTRIBUTION: Associated with pack ice in coastal N. Pacific, Bering and Okhotsk Seas, Aleutian Isis.; south to Kiangsu ( China)(SW) and Japan; Aleutian Isis.
COMMENT: Includes P. insularis Belkin, 1964 ; see review by Shaughnessy and Fay, 1977, J. Zool. Lond., 182:385-419; largha was considered a subspecies of vitulina by Hall, 1981: 1181, and many earlier authors.
