TYPE LOCALITY: Malaysia, Sabah (N. Borneo), Kinabalu, 4000 ft. (1219 m) .

DISTRIBUTION: Borneo.

COMMENT: Although resembling M. personata orientalis , this species is regarded as distinct by Long, 1978, Rep. Fauna Flora Wise., 14:1-6, but as a subspecies of orientalis by Medway, 1977:132.
