COMMENT: Although suggested by Hayman, 1940, in Sanderson, Trans. Zool. Soc. Lond., 24:623-725, to have a close relationship to Crossarchus, Coetzee, 1977 , Part 8:23, considered Liberiictis a distinct genus. Probably should be included in Crossarchus (PG) .
