DISTRIBUTION: Zaire; Uganda.
COMMENT: C. alexandri and obscurus may be conspecific; see Coetzee, 1977, Part 8:29. However, alexandri is very distinct in cranial proportions, approaching Liberiictis kuhni (PG) .
