Range Biak, Supiori, Owi, Yapen.

Status Palearctic migrant. Moderately common Palearctic migrant to New Guinea (Bishop 2006) . On Biak collected by Ripley ( Mayr & Meyer de Schauensee 1939). Small numbers (<10) occasionally seen at sites such as Biak airstrip; the army parade ground; stony farmland and the tsunami swamp. 9 January 1997: six flying over Marauw (SvB). 13 January 1994: 15 on Owi (P. Gregory in litt. 2000).
