Pulaeus semistriatus sp. nov.
Female ( Figs. 19–27 View FIGURES 19 – 23 View FIGURES 24 – 27 ). Gnathosoma ( Figs. 19–21 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ). The chaetotaxy of gnathosoma as in P. leonidi sp. nov. Ventral surface of the subcapitulum ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ) generally smooth except area around setae hg4 with papillae (laterally) and with poorly developed striae (between). Also, an area with papillae present on dorsal surface of the coxal region. Entire dorsal surface of the first and proximal tierce of second segments of chelicerae with papillae ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ). Surface of palps almost smooth, except small area in proximal part of second segment with papillae ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ). The ventral seta on second palpal segment is the longest.
Idiosomal dorsum ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ). The chaetotaxy as in P. leonidi sp. nov. Dorsal shield strongly sclerotized with clearly demarcated borders. Anterior part of the shield is smooth. Posterior part with transverse lobes reaching to setae d in center and sometimes up to sce along the edges of the shield. Dorsal setae relatively long. Setae c1-2, d1 and e1 subequal and longer than distance c1-c2. Setae f1 and f2 situated on common weakly sclerotized platelet, f1 only slightly longer than f2, h1 and h2 out of platelet. The integumental striations smooth but small preanal area with papillae.
Idiosomal venter ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ). The propodogastral coxae are medially completely divided. A small median platelet between the posteromedian edges of coxae II present. Each coxal plate with 6 setae. A peg-like seta on the dorsal part of coxae I present. Integumental striae smooth, except small areas anterior to genital opening with papillae. Genital valves with longitudinal striae. Genital setae (g1–4) subequal in length and situated in the same row. Venter with 5 pairs of setae between hysterogastral coxal plates (excepting setae on coxal plates and genital valves).
Legs ( Figs. 24–27 View FIGURES 24 – 27 ). Leg chaetotaxy: trochanters I–IV: 1—1—2—1 sts; basifemora I–IV, 4—6—3—2 sts; telofemora I–IV, 5—5—4—3 sts; genua I–IV, 3 asl, 5 sts —1 asl, 5 sts —1 asl, 5 sts —1 asl, 5 sts; tibiae I–IV, 1 asl, 1 bsl, 5 sts —1 bsl, 5 sts —1 bsl, 5 sts —1 T, 4 sts; tarsi I–IV, 3 bsl, 1 dep, 1 dtsl, 2 tsl, 21 sts —1 bsl, 1 dtsl, 1 tsl, 21 sts —17 sts —17 sts. Ventral surface of leg segments with papillae. Dorsal surface of telofemora, genua and tibiae of legs I and II smooth.
Measurements. Length of idiosoma 310 (305–360); width 205 (210–250). Length of hypognathum 150 (150– 160); width 110 (115–120). Length of palps 85 (85–95). Chelicerae 140 (135–150). Length of dorsal idiosomal shield 192 (190–210); width 160 (155–180). Legs: I 200 (200–210); II 176 (175–180); III 203 (205–215); IV 227 (225–235). Length of setae: ve 44 (35–45); sci 43 (40–45); c1 39 (30–40); c2 35 (33–40); d1 34 (30–35); e1 32 (30–35); f1 35 (30–35); f2 25 (22–30); h1 38 (35–40); h2 33 (30–35); g 1–4 14–17 (13–16). Distance between setae: ve–ve 80 (80–90); sci–sci 70 (70–80); sce–c1 30 (30–33); c1–c2 27 (25–28); d1–d1 67 (65–70); e1– e1 50 (50–55).
Male and immatures unknown.
Etymology. The name of new species refers to the peculiar surface of the dorsal idiosomal shield.
Differential diagnosis. This new species differs from other species of Pulaeus by the peculiar surface of the dorsal idiosomal shield which is smooth in the anterior and lobed in the posterior part.
