Type specimen. Lectotype ♁ no. 11043 designated by Watson (1971: 95) ( USNM).

Taxonomic references. Schaus (1894), Rothschild (1916), Hampson (1920), Watson (1975), Watson & Goodger (1986) and Vincent & Laguerre (2014).
