ACROPORA View in CoL ROBUSTA GROUP

Diagnosis

Colonies sturdy and with simple branching pattern, mainly arborescent table in form. Axial corallite dominates branch diameter. Radial corallites dimorphic, long tubular corallites with dimidiate calices interspersed with sub-immersed radial corallites; coenosteum costate on radial corallites and reticulate in intercorallite areas ( Wallace, 1999).

This group typically occurs on the reef edge at the interface between reef flat and reef slope, including the edge of submerged reefs or on shallow reef shoals, which are often found around the shallow base of fringing reefs around many modern Indonesian islands ( Wallace et al., 2012).
