Remarks: Although Simon (1910) indicated that Riet Tinkas was in Bechuanaland ( Botswana), Brain (1918) indicated for the coccid Aspidiotus euphorbiae Newstead, 1912 that the locality based on Schultze’s label was “ Sudafrika bei Riet Tinkas (sudlich von Salem am Swakop)”, i.e. south of Salem and Swakop[mund], localities in coastal and subcoastal Namibia ( Fig. 1 ).
